Olive E. Akins, Winterset

Services for Olive E. Akins, 82, Winterset, who died Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Des Moines General Hospital, were held Wednesday, Oct. 4 at the United Methodist Church in Lorimor with the Rev. Mark Hagy officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

Born on Nov. 1901 in Union County, she was the daughter of Saul and Zilpha McCoy Wilson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Royal Neighbors, Lorimor Legion Auxiliary and the United Methodist Women of Lorimor.

She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Betty Gibson of Lorimor, Mrs. Mary Lou Swigart, Mrs. Myrna Cleland, both of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a grandson and two husbands.
