EDWARD WAGNER, Cedar Falls

Memorial services for Edward G. Wagner, 83, a former Madison county resident, were held Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the First United Methodist Church in Waterloo, with graveside service at Winterset Cemetery. He died Feb. 22 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

He was born July 11, 1898, at Kahoka, Mo., son of George and Nettie Brown Wagner. He married Gretchen Hermon April 20, 1921, at Winterset. She died in 1972.

He lived in Peru, and was a rural mail carrier until moving to Waterloo in 1938. He retired in 1958 as a city mail carrier.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Helen Callaway, Waterloo, and Martha Wagner of Nashville, Tn; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl of Winterset; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Hamner of Winterset.
