Funeral mass for John P. King, 84, was held Wed., Jan. 9 at St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Church where he was a member. The Father Phillip E. Lawler officiated. Mr. King died January 5, 1991 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk.
A lifetime resident of Madison County, John Patrick King was born July 4, 1906 to Joseph Patrick and Mary Margaret (Dooley) King in Warren County. He married Delpha May Garrison August 7, 1933 in Indianola. He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and a sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene LaFratte of Prole and Delores Callahan of Bloomington, Minn.; a brother, Louis King of St. Charles; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial was at St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Cemetery.
