Funeral services for Charles Kilpatrick, well-known resident of the Lorimor community, will be held this Thursday, March 2, at the Methodist church in Lorimor.
Mr. Kilpatrick died Tuesday morning, Feb. 28, 1961, at Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines, following an extended illness. He was 78 years old.
The son of John and Jane Kilpatrick, he was born Feb. 25, 1883 at Grant, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Pearl McKeig on Jan. 26, 1908 at Harlan, Iowa.
He was a resident of the Grant, Iowa community until 1928, when he moved to Madison county, and since that time has lived in Madison and Union counties.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl, two sons, Max of Winterset and Clyde of Lorimor; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. this Thursday at Lorimor. Burial will be in the Winterset cemetery.
