OBITUARY OF LORENE T. AHNEN

Lorene T. Ahnen, daughter of Jasper and Blanche Liggen Clark was born September 6, 1913 in Adair County, Iowa. She passed away suddenly April 10, 1982 at Madison county Memorial Hospital where she was taken after being stricken at her home.

Lorene grew up in Adair County and graduated from Zion School.

On Easter, April 17, 1938 she was united in marriage to Vern Ahnen in Olathe, Colorado. The couple spent their life together farming first in Adair County and since 1943 in rural Earlham, Madison County.

Lorene was a member of Early Chapel Christian Church in rural Madison County.

Survivors include her loving family; husband Vern; one son, Ron of Des Moines; one daughter, Dandy Kristufek and three grandchildren, Susan, Brian and Jason. Also two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Moore of Creston and Mrs. Mary Roatcap.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son and three brothers.

Services were held at Early Chapel Christian Church on April 13, 1982 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Shuler officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Irene Clague, organist, accompanying the congregational singing. Casket bearers were John Clague, Ed Hircock, Russell Leeper, Doyle Mapes, Lester Piatt and Dale Smith. Interment was at Greenfield Cemetery at Greenfield, Iowa.
