Ilot Ackelson, Des Moines

Services for Ilot Ackelson, 81, Des Moines, who died Saturday, Sept. 17, at Des Moines General Hospital, were held Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial was at the Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasand Hill.

Mr. Ackelson was born in Madison County and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a truck driver for the city of Des Moines, retiring in 1971.

He was a member of the Central Bible Church.

Survivors include his wife, the former Louise McKeener; sons, Richard and Jack, both of Des Moines; daughter, Carolyn Cowie of Des Moines and Margery Nelson of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
