Winford D. Addison, Corona, Calif.

Word has been received of the death of Winford D. Addison, 89, a former principal of Winterset High School who died April 7, at Corona, Calif., where he had lived for many years.

Mr. Addison was paid tribute in the Corona newspaper in a letter to the editor by Susan Seidman, Corona resident, who said, "More than any founding father or civic leader past or present, he truly deserved the title "Mr. Corona". His love for Corona and her citizens was evident in everything he did. He was the heart and spirit of the Corona Kiwanis Club."

She also mentioned his work with the Corona Heritage Committee, the Corona Adventure Club, the Corona Retired Educators and the Corona Centennial Committee.

Mr. Addison was a graduate of Simpson College in 1923.
