EARLHAM-A funeral for James V. Wilkie, 77, of rural Earlham was held Dec. 29, 1993 at the First Presbyterian Church here, with burial following at Earlham Cemetery. Mr. Wilkie died of kidney failure on Dec. 26 at Madison County Memorial Hospital at Winterset.
The son of Fred O. and Anne Marie Veverka Wilkie, he was born on the family farm near Earlham on June 11, 1916. He married Doris McMullin on June 5, 1938. He was a farmer.
Mr. Wilkie was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Henry and George.
Survivors include his wife, Doris, a daughter, Sally Leeper of Winterset; a son, Roger Wilkie of Leawood, Kan.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
