LAURA FREY, Winterset

Services for Laura Frey, 90, Winterset, who died Nov. 26, 1986, at the Winterset Care Center South, were held Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

Born in Clarke County Aug. 17, 1896, she was the daughter of Hartson and Sarah Cook. She was married to Harold Frey on Oct. 5, 1920.

Mrs. Frey was a laundry worker at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, was a 35 year resident of this area, and a member of the Church of Christ and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include sons, Kenneth and Clarence "Bub" Frey, both of Winterset, and Galen Frey of Osceola; a stepson, Vernon Frey of Ava, Mo.; daughters, Dorothy Porter of Des Moines and Shirley Heslope of Independence; sisters, Marie Davis of Pittsburg, Calif., and Mable Cross of Williamsburg; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, two infant sons, three brothers and two sisters.
