BERTHA M. HAM, Winterset

Services for Bertha M. Ham, 85, Winterset, who died May 1, 1984 at the Bethesda Care Center, were held Thursday, May 3 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Union County on May 10, 1898, she was the daughter of William and Eliza Golden Nelson. She married Jesse G. Ham on Feb. 21, 1923 in Madison County. Mrs. Ham spent most of her life as a homemaker and was a life-long resident of Madison County.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Gailen, Dale and Ivan, all of Winterset; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Ham was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, three brothers and a sister.
