Clarke Farlin, a well-known resident of the Lorimor community, died Sunday, May 27 in Des Moines. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. Farlin was a native of Nebraska where he was born in Red Willow County, November 27, 1894, a son of Lewis and Martha Zuber Farlin. When he was a year old, he came with his parents to Montgomery County, Iowa and five years later they came to the Kasson community in madison County where the remainder of his life was spent.

He was married December 22, 1915 to Ruby Steen. They were parents of a son, Kenneth Farlin, now of Lorimor. The wife and mother died in 1921.
