CALLISON, WILFORD
CALLISON, EMMA KIRKLAND, Husband and Wife Die within Four days.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Callison, both of whom spent their early years in Madison county, died at Howard, Kansas, this month, within four days of each other.

Mr. Callison, died July 5, 1961, and his wife, the former Emma Kirkland of near Winterset, following him just four days later, on July 9.

He was born July 5, 1874, near St. Augustine, Ill., coming to the Ord Community as a child. She was born near Winterset, Nov. 17, 1874. His death occurred on his eight-seventh birthday, and she was 86 years of age at her death.

After their marriage they lived in Winterset, for a time, where he worked as a barber. They later lived on a farm south of Earlham, before moving to Kansas.

Funeral services for both were held at Howard, and burial made in Grace Lawn Cemetery there.
