DALE A. CALLISON, Winterset

Services for Dale A. Callison, 88, a native of Madison County who died Mar. 9, 1983, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Friday at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Helmers officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Born April 15, 1894, he was the son of Alpha and Linda Bertholf Callison. He married Dora Fairholm Mar. 26, 1919 in Des Molines.

From 1940 to 1950, he served as administrator at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines and was first administrator of the Madison County Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1959. He spent most of his life in Madison County and belonged to the First Christian Church, the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
