Agnes Lorraine Brooker, 98, of Winterset died of congestive heart failure Nov. 21, 2000, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 27, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset with Dr. Bobby Dickerson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
Agnes Brooker was born March 31, 1902, in Madison County to Clarence and Nora (Walters) Clark. Her husband Judson Brooker, preceded her in death in 1986. A lifetime resident of Madison County, she had worked as a clerk for United Foods and the Biz Mart. Agnes was a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, an infant daughter and two sisters.
She is survived by a son, Robert Brooker (wife Mary Ann) of Vista, Calif.; two daughters, Evelyn Cline (husband Keller) of Mesa, Ariz., and Joan Griffith (husband Doc) of Winterset; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Brooker Travis of Ft. Scott, Kan.; a sister, Lucille Alexander of Winterset; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
