JUDSON BROOKER, Winterset

Services for Judson Brooker, 85, Winterset, who died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1986, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Travis officiating. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on Nov. 11, 1900, he was the son of Nelson and Blanch Addy Brooker. He was the retired owner and operator of a car dealership in Winterset.

Mr. Brooker married Agnes Clark in Winterset on Oct. 4, 1919. He was a lifetime resident and member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Bob, of Vista, Calif.; daughters, Evelyn Cline of Rogers, Ark., and Joan Griffith of Winterset; brothers, Ralph Brooker of Des Moines and Herbert of Indianola; sisters, Darlene Fundinged of Grand Junction, Colo., Madalyn Bennett of Des Moines and Rose Van Buren of Van Meter; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, three brothers and three sisters.
