MRS. DAISY B. KAROUS DIES IN DES MOINES

Mrs. Daisy Belva Karous, a former resident of Madison county, died Friday, March 2, at Lutheran hospital in Des Moines, after having suffered a stroke the preceding Tuesday. She was 60 years of age.

Mrs. Karous was the former Daisy Belva Burd, daughter of Henry and Margaret Burd, and was born in Madison county Nov. 19, 1895. Her life was spent in Madison county until 17 years ago, when she moved to Des Moines. She had been making her home there with her son, Lewis Stout.

She was baptized into the Christian church in 1912.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elva (Elvis) Stout. She leaves two sons, Lewis of Des Moines, and Elvis, Jr. of Oklahoma City; a sister, Mrs. Blaine Miles of Winterset; and two brothers, Clair and Cap Burd, both of Winterset.

Funeral services were held in Des Moines Monday from the Dahlstrom Funeral home, with grave-side services at the Winterset cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Christian church.
