ZOE GARDNER, Winterset

Services for Zoe Gardner, 89, Winterset, who died May 11 at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held Friday, May 15, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born at Peru on Dec. 18, 1897, she was the daughter of John and Ellen Hogg Garst. She married Clarence S. Gardner on Sept. 5, 1915 at Winterset and was a homemaker. She spent her lifetime in Iowa except for two years in Minnesota. Mrs. Gardner was a member of the First Christian Church and the Royal Neighbors of America.

A graduate of Peru High School, she was known in later years for her needlework and antique glassware.

Surviving are her daughter Wilma Eyerly and husband Ryman of Mesa, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant daughtere, a son and a sister.
