EMBREE JACKSON, Winterset

Services for Embree Jackson, 69, lifetime resident of Madison County who died Nov. 10, 1983, at the Care Center North, were held Monday, Nov. 14, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County Dec. 14, 1913, he was the son of William and Edith Fleener Jackson. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1934 and was a past chancellor of the Knights of Pythias. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mr. Jackson was married to Dorothy Johnson in July of 1937. She died March 1, 1950. He was married to Letha Leachman Feb. 14, 1953.

Survivors include his wife; a step-daughter, Janice Bristow of Des Moines; brothers, George of Winterset and John of Florida; a sister, Eleanor Poland of Harlingen, Tex., and two step grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers.
