Jennie Bruns, Winterset

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Jennie Marie Allgeyer Bruns of rural Winterset, who died Feb. 14, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 89 years old.

Born Nov. 7, 1892 in Polk county, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mae Pointer Hill.

On Nov. 6, 1917, she married Joseph Eugene Bruns in Winterset. Mr. Bruns died in 1976.

A homemaker, she attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a member of St. Joseph's Altar Society, a past member of the church choir, and a member of the Farm Bureau Choral Group.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two sons, Jack and Joe; two brothers; one sister; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Paul of Toledo and Robert of Karlsruke, Germany; five daughters, Mary Williams of California City, Calif., Nora Page of Henderson, Tex., Genevieve Melroy of Winterset, Betty Campbell of Wichita, Kan., and Dorothy Kennedy of Lake City, Minn.; 39 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Chase-McDonald Cemetery.
