Delma Lorene Neff, daughter of John and Mae Garmire Neff, was born February 18, 1906 and passed away at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines on Tuesday, October 1, 1968.

Her entire life was spent in Madison County. Here she attended a rural school in Penn township and later graduated from the Earlham High School with the class of 1924.

As a young girl she united with the Church of Christ at Earlham. Through the years she has been a loyal and faithful member.

On March 12, 1932, she was united in marriage with John Henkle. Into the home thus formed, three children were born--Wilbur, Walter and Larry.

Delma's life centered in her home where she loved and served her family with devotion. She had the true spirit of hospitality and enjoyed sharing her home. She gave freely of herself to those who needed her help. All those who knew her were better because her life touched theirs.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother. Those left to mourn her passing are her husband John, her sons, her daughters-in-law, Margaret and Pearl, and three grandchildren--Ronnie, Cindy and Danny Henkle. She also leaves her sister, Lois, and her brother, Lester, and his wife, Hilda.
