Frank J. Wilson, Newton

Frank J. Wilson was born May 20, 1894 and died at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton, Iowa on November 23, 1982. He was the eldest of three sons born to Jehu and Hattie Wilson, who lived on a farm 1-1/2 miles north east of Earlham.

Frank received his early education in a country school near his home and graduated from the Earlham Academy in 1913.

On December 20, 1916, he and a classmate, Olive DeVault were married. They were the parents of three children. Olive died Dec. 4, 1964.

On September 18, 1971 Frank and Loreah Tate were united in marriage and they made their home in Earlham.

Those of his immediate family who survive include his children, Martha Koboldt and husband Wayne, and Helen Ludwick of Earlham; Floyd Wilson and wife Margaret of Indianola; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and his brother, Marion, all of Earlham; also a step-granddaughter and a step-great grandson of Grimes. Frank J. Wilson was born May 20, 1894 and passed to his eternal reward on November 23, 1982 at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton, Iowa. He was the eldest of three sons born to Jehu and Hattie Wilson who lived on a farm 1 ½ miles north east of Earlham, Iowa.

Frank received his early education in a country school near his home and graduated from the Earlham Academy in 1913.

On December 20, 1916 he and a classmate, Olive DeVault, were joined in marriage. They were the parents of three children. Olive was stricken with a fatal stroke and passed away December 4, 1964.

On September 18, 1971, Frank and Loreah Tate were united in marriage and made their home in Earlham.

Frank maintained his membership in the Earlham Friends Church from the time that he joined the church at the age of 10 years.

Those of his immediate family who survive his passing include his children, Martha Koboldt and husband, Wayne and Helen Ludwick of Earlham; Floyd and wife, Margaret of Indianola, Iowa; four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and his brother, Marion, all of Earlham. Also a step-granddaughter and a step-great grandson of Grimes, Iowa.
