Wyman Robert "Jack" Wilson of 623 W. Court died Sunday Nov. 2, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. A native of Macksburg, Mr. Wilson had lived in Winterset for the last eight years.
Born on Aug. 12, 1905, at Macksburg, he was the son of Eugene and Pearl Pennel Rowe Wilson. He ws united in marriage to Mildred Lenocker on Feb. 24, 1926 in Des Moines, and she survives him.
In 1970 Mr. Wilson retired as officer in charge of immigration and naturalization in Omaha, Neb. after 30 years with the civil service. He attended the University of Minnesota and Drake University and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors also include three sons, Gene L. Wilson of Winterset, Jerry M. Wilson of Riverdale, Ill., and Charles E. Wilson of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Marcia Glasser of Rockville, Md.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Wyman Wilson; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Winter Mackay and an infant, Mardi Wilson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the First Christian Church with Rev. David Livingston officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
