Dale Eldon Lineweaver, 65, of Winterset, died of a heart attack Aug. 19, 2002, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Earlham Community High School gymnasium with Pastors Linda Burnett and Alberta Ervin officiating. Burial will be at Earlham Cemetery.

Dale Lineweaver was born July 4, 1937, in Madison County to Louris William and Lenore Doris (Alexander) Lineweaver. He was a 1956 graduate of Earlham High School. On April 10, 1960, he married Norma Louise Glazebrook at the Worthington Church in Madison County. Dale, a lifetime resident of Madison County, farmed and was director of transportation for Earlham Community Schools. He also was active in 4-H and FFA and a member of the Worthington United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; a son, Craig E. Lineweaver (fiancee Julia Kelley) of Winterset; a daughter, Debbie Rice (husband Kelvin) of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
