LENORE A. LINEWEAVER, Winterset

Lenore Alexander Lineweaver, 90, of Winterset died of a heart ailment Dec. 12, 1999, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 15) at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Alberta Ervin officiating.
Burial was at Worthington Church Cemetery, rural Earlham.

Lenore Lineweaver was born Feb. 26, 1909, in Madison County to Erwin Joe and Henrietta Louise (Schoen) Alexander. She married Louris W. Lineweaver on May 22, 1930, in Madison County. A graduate of Winterset High School, she taught one year of country school. She also worked at the former Good Bakery and for Collins Funeral Home, both located in Winterset, and was retired from farming. A lifetime Madison County resident, Lenore was a member of the Worthington United Methodist Church and the Worthington United Methodist Women Neighborhood Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and a sister.

She is survived by a son, Dale Eldon Lineweaver (wife Norma) of Winterset; two sisters, Roberta Estell of West Des Moines and Trudy Oldham (husband Ellis) of Des Moines; a sister-in-law Darline Alexander of Winterset; a brother-in-law, Alfred Shafar of Creston; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
