MRS. MABEL HAINES Died Thursday

Mrs. Mabel H. Haines of Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Thursday, May 18, 1972 at Madison Manor here. She was 80 years of age.

Mrs. Haines was born in Scott township on Nov. 15, 1891. She was the former Mabel Holmes, daughter of John and Lavora Harrell Holmes. She was married in 1910 to Ora R. Haines. They engaged in farming in Lincoln township until 1952, when they moved into Winterset. Mr. Haines died Oct. 25, 1966.

She is survived by two sons, Eldon and Maurice Haines, both of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
