W. W. ORY OF DESOTO DIES AT 75 YEARS

Funeral services for W. W. Ory were to be held this Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 25, at the Fisher Funeral home in Van Meter.

Mr. Ory died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, while visiting his daughter, Mrs. A. J. Smith of Earlham. He was 75 years of age.

He farmed for many years in Madison county and at one time owned and operated the Hamilton Hotel in Winterset. He was a resident of DeSoto at the time of his death.

Surviving in addition to the daughter are a son, Marion Ory of Earlham; a brother, John Ory of Earlham; and a sister, Mrs. Chloe Whittington of Eureka, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife on July 8, 1960.

Officiating at the service Wednesday afternoon was the Rev. Root, Methodist minister at DeSoto and Van Meter. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.
