Grace Ethel Archer, 88, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment on Sept. 8, 1996, at Winterset Care Center North in Winterset. Funeral services will be held Sept. 11, 1996 at 1:30 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Pastor Jon Gaul will officiate and butial is to follow at the Winterset Cemetery.
She was born in Madison county on August 10, 1908, to Jackson and Myrtle (Guthrie) Dudney. On May 6, 1924, she married Ruben Lyle Archer in Creston. She was a housewife and lifetime resident of Madison County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son; one daughter; four brothers; and one sister.
Surviving relatives include one son-in-law, Victor McDonald of Winterset; and one grandson.
