NAOMI MARIE STARK, Winterset

Services for Naomi Marie Stark, 79, Winterset, who died July 24, 1984, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Saturday, July 28 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Des Moines May 15, 1905, she was the daughter of Leslie M. and Fanny Fahnestock Sampson . She lived most of her life in Winterset and was a retired school teacher. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Winterset Music Club, the Scott township Farm Bureau and a past member and director of the church choir. She had been a teacher for 29 years.

On Dec. 25, 1926, she was married to Robert Stark at Winterset.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Dr. Lucien P. Stark of Lexington, Ky., and R. Wayne Stark of Lawndale, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
