Ella Forret, Adel

Ella M. Forret, 88, of Adel, died of a respiratory ailment, Aug, 5, 1997 at Adel Acres Care Center. Funeral services were Aug. 8 at St. John's Catholic Church in Adel. Burial was at the Booneville Cemetery.

She was born in Churchville on Nov. 9, 1908 to Earl and Anna (Weil) McKinney. She married Clarence "Click" Forret on Oct. 8, 1930 in Churchville. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of the Booneville area for most of her life. She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church and the Lee Township Farm Bureau.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and three brothers.

Surviving relatives include four daughters, Catherine Shannon of Des Moines, Marie Thomas of Windsor Heights, Ila Highshoe of Swisher and Kay Boston of Adel; two sons, Duane Forret of Van Meter and Jay Forret of Van Meter; two brothers, John McKinney of Dallas Center and Leonard McKinney of Colorado; four sisters, Anna King of St. Charles, Rosemary Penick of Bayard, Leona Dittmer of Panora, and Theresa Hart of Florida; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
