RALPH "IKE" FARLOW, Winterset

Funeral services for Ralph "Ike" Farlow, 76, were held Fri., March 22 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. An IOOF service was held at the funeral home after the funeral service. Farlow died March 18, 1991 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.

Raymond Ralph Farlow was born in Winterset August 6, 1914 to Ralph Eugene and Edith (Burke) Farlow and lived in Winterset all his life. He married Neva Marie Bullock May 16, 1937 in Winterset. He was a retired rural mail carrier and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Winterset IOOF Lodge No. 136, American Legion Post #184 of Winterset and First Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Briggs of Elmhurst, Ill.; a son, Eugene Farlow of Winterset; two brothers, Jack Farlow and Bill W. Farlow, both of Winterset; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A military graveside service by the American Legiion was held at Winterset Cemetery where he was buried.
