1967FUNERAL THURSDAY FOR MRS. PARKINS
Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset for Clarinda F. Parkins of Des Moines, a former Madison county resident.
Mrs. Parkins, died Tuesday, July 11 at Broadlawns hospital in Des Moines at the age of 67.
A daughter of George and Susan Barnes Gibson, she was born at Truro on May 6, 1900. She left Madison county in 1937 to live in Des Moines where she was a practical nurse. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She was married to Ellis L. Parkins on Feb. 1, 1919, who preceded her in death on June 29, 1960.
Surviving are one son, Robert L. Parkins of Winterset; one brother, Ralph Gibson of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Gilbrech of Winterset and Mrs. Nellie Knight of San Diego, Calif.; one grandchild and one great grandchild.
Officiating at the funeral this Thursday will be the Rev. Wm. E. Bowles, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial will be in the Winterset cemetery.
