Eleanor Johnson was born in Rush county, Indiana, March 7, 1845. In 1874 she was married to John Link at Bushville, Indiana, and they came immediately to Madison township, Madison county, Iowa, where they resided until last year, when they moved into town.
Mr. Link being blind, a double responsibility rested upon her, and in the language of her husband, she was faithful, watchful and self-sacrificing – true to her friends and to her God.
When but fourteen years old she united with the Church of Christ at Rushville, Ind., and her membership was transferred to DeSoto, Iowa.She leaves two children, a son and a daughter.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. E. Follansbee assisted by S. J. Callison on Friday afternoon, and her remains buried in the Winterset cemetery.

Eleanor, wife of John Link, died in Winterset, March 7, 1901, aged 55 years. She was born in Rushville, Indiana, and was married in 1874. She came with her husband to Madison county, Iowa, and lived there until last summer when they moved to Winterset.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. L. E. Follansbee and assisted by Rev. S. J. Callison.

Page 5Mrs. Eleanor Link, wife of John Link died at her home in Winterset, March 7, 1901. She was born in Rushville, Indiana, March 9, 1843 and married in 1874 and immediately moved to Madison township, Madison Co., Iowa, where they lived until last summer when they came to Winterset.
The funeral occurred Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Follansbee, assisted by Rev. S. J. Callison. She was a member of the Church of Christ at DeSoto and beloved by all who knew her.
