Catherine M. Wetrich, 76, of Earlham, died of a kidney ailment Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines.

Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Penn Center United Methodist Church near Earlham, of which she was a member. Burial was at Penn Center Cemetery.

Catherine Wetrich was born in Maquoketa and had lived in Clinton and Jackson counties before moving to Earlham in 1955. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dizzy Dozen Club in Earlham.

She is survived by her husband, Leon; a son, James of Redfield; a brother, Charles Stoll of Holiday Island, Ark.; a sister, Agnes McElroy of Seabrook, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
