CLAYTON CALLISON Died Wednesday

William Clayton Callison, prominent Lincoln township farmer, died this Wednesday, April 1, 1959, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He would have been 80 years of age on April 20. He had been in good health until about a month ago, when he suffered a stroke.

Mr. Callison was a native of Illinois, where he was born in Fulton county on April 20, 1879, a son of Woods and Delilah Babbitt Callison. He came with his parents to Iowa when he was 5 years of age. They settled on the farm in Lincoln township which remained his home until his death. He was one of Madison county's most successful farmers over a long period of years.

He was married Oct. 15, 1902, to Pearl Starr, at the home of her parents in Lincoln township. They were parents of two sons and a daughter.

He is survived by his wife; the two sons, Herbert and Roy Callison of Lincoln township; the daughter, Mrs. Opal Moore of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a brother, C. W. Callison of Howard, Kan.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home. Burial will be made in the Clark cemetery.
