Mabel Stover, Winterset

Services for Mabel Stover, 86, Winterset, who died Oct. 25 at the Madison County Hospital, were held Friday, Oct. 28 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Burial was at the Marble Valley Cemetery at Gilmore City.

A resident of the North Ward Plaza, Mrs. Stover was born in Dallas County on April 25, 1897, the daughter of W. M. and Lena Snyder Spencer. She spent most of her life as a homemaker after marrying Faye Stover at Fonda, Iowa on July 17, 1917. She lived in Winterset the past 16 years, coming from Gilmore City.

Survivors include a son, Darvin of Cedarburg, Wis.; a brother, Clarence Spencer of Gilmore Ciyt; a sister, Gladys Benoit of Winterset; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son and a brother.
