February 11, 1959MAC GENTRY DIED HERE WEDNESDAY
Mac Gentry of Winterset, a life-long resident of the community, died this Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, at Memorial hospital, after an extended illness. He was 73 years of age.
He was born in this county Feb. 2, 1886. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry Hamilton of Omaha and Mrs. Irma Lee Brannum of St. James, Mo.; a son, William Gentry of Fremont, Nebr; and a sister, Sylvia Gentry of Winterset.
Funeral services had not been completed as the Madisonian went to press. The body is at Richards Funeral home.

Burial Made at Winterset For Life-Time Resident of County
Funeral services were held last Friday from Richards Funeral home for Mac Gentry of Winterset, whose death occurred Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Memorial hospital here.
The Rev. Robert Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church conducted the services. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mr. Gentry was a member of a pioneer family in Madison county and a life-long resident here. He was born in Madison county, Feb. 2, 1886, a son of William W. and Eleanor Jane Atchison Gentry.
He was married April 23, 194, to Louisa Eggleston.
Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Harry Hamilton of Omaha, Nebraska, and Mrs. Irma Lea Brannum of St. Ann, Mo.; a son William Gentry of Freemont, Nebr.; two sisters, Sylvia Gentry of Winterset and Mrs. Minnie Stickler of Palo Alto, Calif.; and six grandsons. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Maxine.
