Isaiah Gideon

Isaiah Gideon was born in Madison county, May 5, 1860, and died April 17, 1929, aged 68 years, 11 months and 12 days. He was united in marriage February 28, 1886, to Dora Crow. To this union were born eight children, all of whom survive him. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Mrs. Dora Gideon, Alfred Gideon, of Fairdealing, Missouri; Mrs. Mary Rust, of Perry; Mrs. Alice Vodineck, of Perry; George Gideon of De Soto; Mrs. Hazel Hein, of Muscatine; Ivan Gideon, of Pilot Mound; Mrs. Carrie Vodenick, of Perry, and Mrs. Fanny Bennett, of Winterset; twenty grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Julia Titus, of Muscatine, and one brother, Thomas Gideon, of Nichols.

Mr. Gideon had been in failing health since last fall. He united with the M. E. church thirteen years ago, at Conesville.
