Minnie Tyer DeMar, 89, of 610 North 1st Ave. Winterset, died at her home Monday, Nov. 21. Born in Dallas county to Frank and Victoria Tyer on June 17, 1888, DeMar lived in Madison county most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Earl DeMar, who died here in 1960. Mrs. DeMar was a member of W.C.T.U., active in the American Legion Auxiliary, a former member of Scott Township Farm Bureau Women and belonged to the Methodist Church here.
She is survived by two nephews from California and two nieces.
Visitation will be at Collins Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 23 and 24. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, with burial at Winterset Cemetery. Rev. Byron Ayers will conduct the services.
