GENEVIEVE FOGLER, Winterset

Genevieve Helen Fogler, 77, of Winterset died of a respiratory ailment July 16, 1999, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

A memorial service was held Monday, July 19, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Robert Barrick officiating. Burial was at Montpelier Cemetery near Patterson.

Genevieve Fogler was born Oct 1, 1921, to Guy Edwin and Fern Cora (Frey) Fogler of Patterson. The first 18 years of her life were spent in Winterset. She received a master's degree in music from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. She lived in Urbana, Ill., until returning to Winterset seven months ago. Genevieve, a retired music teacher, was a member of the Retired Teachers of Illinois, Sigma Alpha Iota Sorority and the First United Methodist Church of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece.

She is survived by a brother, Frank A. Fogler, (wife Dede) of Atchison, Kan.; and a sister, Norma Ziemann (husband Don) of Van Meter.
