Olive Louise Lenocker, 91, of Dexter died Nov. 4, 2003, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 8, at Penn Center Methodist Church in rural Earlham with the Rev. Lisa Locoh officiating. Burial was at Penn Center Cemetery.
Olive Lenocker was born Sept. 25, 1912, in Madison County to Roy and Ruth Imboden. On Feb. 25, 1940, at the home of her parents, she was united in marriage to Jasper Lenocker of Dexter. They spent their married life together farming the family farm until his death in 1979. Olive continued to reside at home until her last six weeks of life. She was a member of Penn Center Methodist Church (lifetime member) and Penn Center UMW and a past member of the Earlham Garden Club and the Dizzy Dozen ladies group.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Lillis.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Louise Hatfield of Dexter; a son, Robert Leroy Lenocker of Chesapeake, Va; a sister, Margery Jackson of Ocala, Fla; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Dexter, IowaOlive Louise, the first of three daughters of Roy and Ruth Imboden, was born on September 25, 1912 in Madison County, Iowa and passed away on November 4, 2003 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.
On February 25, 1940, she was united in marriage at her parents home to Jasper Lenocker of Dexter, Iowa. They spent their married life together farming the family farm until “Jap’s” death in 1979. She continued to live at home until her last six weeks of life.
Two children blessed their marriage, Mary Louise (husband Dale) Hatfield of Dexter and Robert LeRoy (wife Carole) of Chesapeake, Virginia.
Olive was a lifetime member of the Penn Center Church and a member of the Penn Center UMW. She was a past member of the Earlham Garden Club and the “Dizzy Dozen” ladies group. She enjoyed being in her garden and working with her many flowers and making raspberry jam.
Survivors besides her children include 5 grandchildren, Steve (Glenda) Hatfield, Denise (Chris) Sprague, Cris (Troy) Taylor, Gregory Lenocker, and Jeffrey (Miranda) Lenocker; 9 great-grandchildren, Terry Hatfield, Heidi (Jared) Gillespie, Derek Hatfield, Tessa Sprague, Jazlin Sprague, Peyton Sprague, Jadin Sprague, Delaney Taylor and Riley Taylor; one sister, Margery (Bill) Jackson of Ocala, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jasper, sister Lillis, brother-in-law Mike Knouf and niece Virginia.
