MILDRED EYERLY, Winterset

Mildred Alice Eyery, 92, died March 7, 2006, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 13, at the Macksburg United Methodist Church with Pastors Sandy Smith and Don Frank officiating. Burial was at Moon Cemetery in rural Macksburg.

Mildred Eyerly was born March 1, 1914, in Madison County to Coyt Roneal and Estella Frances (King) Herren. On March 29, 1934, she married Wilbur Eyerly in Winterset. Earlier in her life, Mildred had been a cook for the Macksburg School District. Following the death of her husband, she began caring for the elderly. A longtime resident of Macksburg, she was a member of the Macksburg United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one granddaughter, Kris Ann Bell; a brother, Ralph Herren; and two sisters, Lois Phillips and Eva Brady.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat Umsted of Winterset and Esther Trickett of Claremont, Calif.; and five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
