Robert E. Breen, Des Moines

Funeral services for Robert E. Breen of Des Moines, a Winterset native, will be held at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, May 30, from Collins Funeral home here.

Mr. Breen died Monday, May 25, at Charter Community hospital in Des Moines at the age of 64.

A son of Michael and Margaret Johnson Breen, he was born in Winterset on Oct. 26, 1922. He had lived in Des Moines the past 30 years where he was a member of the Teamsters union at Merchants White Line.

He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Janssen; a sister, Mary E. (Mae) Beeler of Winterset; and a twin brother, R. Michael Breen of Houston Texas.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Cunningham and Florence Nolan; and a brother John.

Officiating at the service this Saturday will be Father Maurice Schulte. A prayer service will be held Friday at 8:00 p.m. from Collins Funeral home, with visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Burial will be in the Winterset cemetery.
