Jerry Brittain, Winterset

Jerry Brittain, 58, of Winterset, died April 8, 1995 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were April 11 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Dennis Mullin officiated the services with burial at the Winterset Cemetery.

He was born March 10, 1937 in Winterset to Paul Hugh and Nina Ethel (DeBord) Brittain. He married Therese A. Mullin in Des Moines on June 6, 1959. He was an auto parts distributor and president of Brittain's Standard Parts, Inc. He was a lifetime resident of Winterset and a former president of the Winterset Jaycees.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving relatives include his wife; two sons, Mark S. Brittain and Christopher P. Brittain, both of Winterset; three daughters, Charlotte D. Brittain of Winterset, Jill A. Gatlin of Winterset, and Sara T. Brittain of Des Moines; his mother; one sister Myrna L. Smith of Hamilton, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Central Iowa.
