Grace Hendricks, Winterset

Grace I. Hendricks, 89, of Winterset died of cancer Aug. 26, 1995 at the Winterset Care Center South. Funeral services were Aug. 29 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. Don Frank officiated the services and burial was at the North McDonald Cemetery in Madison County.

She was born in Lockhart, Minn., on May 5, 1906 to Lapple and Tina (Bruins) Hekman. She married Willard Ralph Hendricks on Jan. 3, 1938 in Bethany, Mo. She had retired as owner of Grace's Cafe in Winterset. She was a member of the Jolly Dozen Bridge Club; Phythian Sisters; Crown Rebekah Lodge No. 360, and the Lakeview Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, and one sister.

Surviving relatives include two brothers, Edward L. Hekman and Clarence Arnold "Pete" Hekman; and one sister, Jennie Louise Stadum, all of Ada, Minn.
