Services for Loraine Jessie Drake, 89, Winterset, who died Oct. 30 at Bethesda Care Center, were held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 2, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County on Dec. 13, 1898, she was the daughter of David and Mary S. Gilleland Fife. She married Edgar Drake on June 30, 1919 in Madison County and was a homemaker.
She lived here all her life and was a member of the First United Prebyterian Church and a charter member of the Sunshine Garden Club.
Survivors include her son, Joe of Winterset; a brother, Bervin Fife of Winterset; sisters, Besse DeVault of Earlham and Nellie Niblo of Winterset; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and a sister.
