Glenn Vivian Shaw of Rural Route 3, Winterset, died Saturday, August 20, 1977, at the Winterset Care Center North at the age of 78.
A lifetime resident of Madison County, Mr. Shaw was born April 24, 1899 in Madison County, the son of George Lee and Edna Wight Shaw.
On December 9, 1920, he married Pearl Marie Chase in Greenfield. Mr. Shaw was engaged in farming in Webster township.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl, his son, Cecil, his daughter, Mrs. Ed (Lorraine) Powell, all of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Floyd of Elgin, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were held Wednesday, August 24 at Collins Funeral Home by Rev. Charles Updike. Burial was made at Winterset Cemetery.
