DEATH OF MRS. JOE LANDIS OF DES MOINES REPORTED
Word has been received here by relatives, of the death of Mrs. Joe Landis, at her home in Des Moines, Sunday. Mrs. Landis, who will be remembered by friends here as Myrtle Caskey, was born south of Truro and lived there until her marriage. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Truro, from the Christian church, with interment at the Hartman cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Downs were called to Des Moines last week by the critical illness of her sister, Mrs. Myrtle Landis, who had suffered another stroke and passed away on Sunday morning
Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Truro on Tuesday afternoon and burial was in the Hartman cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Wright, and Mrs. Ed Wiebley, of Atlantic, visited Monday at the Earl Holmes home. Mrs. G. Wright and Mrs. Wiebley remained over night to attend the funeral of their cousin, Mrs. Joe Landis, of Des Moines, which was held at the Chrisitian church here Tuesday afternoon.
