Services for Fred J. Ford, 88, Winterset, who died April 4, 1989, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Friday, April 7, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
He was born in Madison County on April 23, 1900. A retired farmer and a trucker, Mr. Ford lived all his life in Winterset.
On Nov. 25, 1925, he was married to Lenore Beem at the Christian Church in Winterset.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Frederick and Henry, both of West Des Moines, and Robert of Nampa, Ida; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, and eight brothers and sisters.
