ORVIE P. WARREN Died Suddenly

This community was shocked Monday to learn of the sudden death of Orvie P. Warren, a well known farmer and life-long resident of this community.

Mr. Warren died Sunday evening a his home south of Winterset, as a result of a heart attack. He was not known to have been in ill health, and had been carrying on his work as usual.

He was 54 years of age. A son of Samuel J. and Mary Warren he was born Sept. 27, 1895. He attended the Madison county rural schools, and was a member of the Church of Christ at Barney.

He served in the U. S. Army in World War I, from December 1917 to March 1919. About two years of this service was spent overseas.

He was married to Eunice Beem of Winterset on Feb. 28, 1920. They were the parents of one daughter, Mrs. Helen Murtagh, now of New York City, N.Y.

In addition to his wife and daughter, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Glee Hircock of Peru.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong of Des Moines. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
