Mrs. John McNeley Dead

Mrs. John McNeley, who has been a sufferer for the past eighteen years from gall stones, and for the past five years almost an invalid died at her home in the south part of town Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The funeral will take place from the house Friday at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Fred Berry. She will be laid to her last rest at the Hooten cemetery.

Miss Emma Jane Darnall was born in Madison county, Iowa, July 27, 1863, and died March 7, 1906, at Winterset, Iowa, age 42 years, 7 months and 20 days. She was married to John McNeley, April 27, 1884. The last 22 years of her life was spent with his family at Winterset.

She was the mother of seven children of which one preceded her. She leaves to mourn a husband and six children, Mrs. Edd Floyd, of Denver, Colo., Mrs. J. L. Soderland, Vernie, Esal, Orie and Iva McNeley all of Winterset. She leaves also a father, two brothers and two sisters, Alvie, Harvey and Arah Darnall and Nora Deford of Des Moines, Iowa.

She united with the Christian church in 1888. She was a faithful worker for her Lord and Master as long as her health permitted. She was patient through her long suffering.

The funeral services were held from the residence and were conducted by Rev. Fred Berry of the Baptist church.
